WHO WE ARE
We are the UCLH Department of Medical Physics and
Bioengineering at UCL Hospitals, a major teaching hospital in the heart of
London.
This is the NHS managed section of the Joint Department of Medical Physics at UCL
(University College London) and UCLH (UCL
Hospitals NHS Trust). The research and teaching activities of the Department are
described in the UCL Medical Physics pages.

WHY WE ARE HERE
The Department of Medical Physics and Bioengineering at UCL Hospitals
exists to provide expert physical science support to activities with the
Trust and to initiate promote and participate in the development and
evaluation of new medical techniques.
The Department has responsibilities over all the sites of the Trust.
All located in Central London, these are:

The Head of the academic department is Professor Andrew Todd-Pokropek
The Medical Physics & Bioengineering Department has offices on two sites.
The academic administration is on the University College Hospital site and the main NHS departmental administration is on Middlesex Hospital site.
