Dynamic Three-Dimensional Ultrasound of the Eyes

The minimally compressed imaging technique can also be used for visualisation of the blinking eyes. The revelation of the dynamic muscular structures as shown below will improve surgical planning so that, after plastic and cosmetic procedures, the eye can open and close as normally as possible.

As ultrasound can be performed without any lighting, it is possible to measure the pupillary diameter in the total darkness. But so far, we do not know if this has any clinical significance.
